Care that puts you first

CASH-BASED CARE

Stillwaters is a cash-based mental health practice. That means we do not bill insurance directly. Instead, we work directly with you so your care stays personal, private and centered on what you actually need.

Cash-based care allows for longer appointments, thoughtful treatment decisions and a more human approach to mental health.

OUR BILLING MODEL

Care without insurance rules attached.

We chose a cash-based model because insurance often dictates how care is delivered. Appointments get shorter. Treatment options get narrower. Conversations feel rushed. That didn’t align with how we want to care for women.

By working directly with our patients, we’re able to spend more time listening, make thoughtful treatment decisions and create space for care that evolves with you. No boxes to check. No pressure to move faster than you’re ready for.

This model allows us to focus on quality, privacy and care that actually feels supportive.

Transparent Pricing

All services are clearly priced and discussed before care begins. You’ll always know what to expect, and you’ll never receive a bill weeks later that catches you off guard.

CASH-BASED CARE MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Want longer, more personalized appointments

  • Value privacy and discretion

  • Prefer care without insurance-driven limitations

  • Are looking for a slower, more supportive approach

  • Have out-of-network benefits or plan to self-pay

If cost is a concern, we’re happy to talk through options and help you decide if this model makes sense for you.

Choosing mental health care is a big decision. If you’re unsure whether cash-based care is right for you, we’re happy to answer questions and talk through your options.

What does cash-based care mean?

Cash-based care means you pay for services at the time of your appointment rather than through an insurance company.

You are always informed of pricing upfront with no surprise bills or hidden fees.

This model allows us to:

  • Spend more time with each patient

  • Customize care without insurance restrictions

  • Protect your privacy and clinical autonomy

  • Focus on quality over volume
