Stillwaters was created in response to a common experience many women share: feeling rushed, unheard or reduced to symptoms within the mental health system.
Here, care is slower and more intentional. We believe meaningful healing happens when women are met with patience, curiosity, and dignity—not pressure or assumptions.
Our work centers on long-term mental wellness, not quick fixes. We walk alongside women through life’s transitions, losses, and seasons of growth with thoughtful, evidence-based care that adapts over time.
Stillwaters is a place where your full story matters.

Meet Our Nurse Practitioner
MEGAN JONES, PMHNP-BC
PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
STILLWATERS FOUNDER
My path into mental health care is rooted in lived experience. At 20, I survived a violent carjacking, and at 19, I began my journey into motherhood as a young mom. These formative experiences shaped my understanding of trauma, resilience, and healing, and they continue to guide my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with a special focus on women’s mental health. My areas of care include postpartum depression, anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, abuse recovery, abortion and adoption healing, acute grief, infant loss, chronic and terminal illness therapy, and menopausal depression. I integrate evidence-based therapies—including CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Compassion Mind Training—with holistic approaches and psychiatric medication management when appropriate.
I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), focused on redesigning mental health care through equity-driven, sustainable cash-based models. My doctoral work centers on social-enterprise care models that use cross-subsidy and wellness product sales to expand access through sliding-scale and low- or no-cost services for vulnerable populations.
Outside of practice, I’m a mom of four who loves cooking, reading, and gardening with my kids. These everyday moments keep me grounded and remind me that healing happens in real life—one relationship at a time.

Philosophy of Care
We believe mental health care works best when women feel safe, respected and actively involved in their treatment. Healing is not linear, and care should adapt as life changes rather than forcing women into rigid systems.
At Stillwaters, support is collaborative and paced with intention. We prioritize listening before diagnosing and relationship over checklists. Care is designed to be steady, sustainable and rooted in dignity.
Care that is personal, collaborative and built to last.
